The objective was to create a means to help users select the appropriate Simpson Powder Actuated Tool for a given application.

Simpson's line of Powder Actuated Tools is extensive, and might be confusing to potential customers. A method of simplifying tool selection was required. In order to accomplish this task, a database was created which contained Simpson's recommended applications for each PAT tool, along with other tool details. An ASP page was then designed to connect with that database and display a set of recommended tools according to which tool application the user has selected. The user can then click on the chosen tool to receive the full product details. Additional graphic elements were designed to help highlight the Good/Better/Best range of tools for each application.
